About Me

I have been painting for approximately 25 years.  I am primarily self-taught but have taken workshops with many nationally known artists. I have studied extensively on my own, using art instruction books and art magazines as motivation toward experimentation with various watermedia materials and techniques.  I was introduced to the non-objective style of painting at a workshop, and that developed into my favorite technique.  I paint intuitively and experimentally keeping in mind the various design principles until the work is either finished to my satisfaction and ready for public viewing or it is set aside for future study.
